Our friends at the Rosary Evangelization Apostolate in Milwaukee write that they are producing a movie about the Rosary!
"With an enthusiastic endorsement from our Episcopal Advisors, we have begun the production of a film that will unveil the beauty and power of the rosary. In this 78 minute film, prominent Catholics will teach us about the beauty of the rosary but also share their personal witness to the power of praying it regularly. Additionally, we are featuring unique stories of ordinary families or individuals from across the country, which will allow us to see how the Blessed Mother has played a beautiful and providential role in their lives. We have commissioned a Wisconsin-based film company to produce this film with the hope that this film will inspire millions of people to commit themselves to the rosary, in response to the spiritual crisis in our culture, country and in our world. The film will be visually compelling, with original music score, and with a modern but truthful message about this holy devotion, the rosary! Where will this rosary film be shown and distributed? Across America! By the grace of God: in theaters, parish viewings, DVD, Netflix to name just a few. The film will be sent to every Diocese in America and various organizations and Apostolates. A special website will also be designed solely for this rosary film." They ask for our prayer support and donations! For more information, please visit their website www.rosaryea.org. To make a donation, please follow this link: One of our Coordinators passes along the news that one of four Pilgrim statues of Our Lady of Fatima will visit two New Orleans churches at the beginning of November. This statue is the only religious statue ever allowed entry into the United Nations Meditation Room; on December 8, 1952, it was placed in the UN Meditation room where Msgr. Harold Colgan, Founder of the the World Apostolate of Fatima, led the recitation of the Rosary - on that day hundreds of people at the UN prayed for the end of the Korean War and peace in the world. The statues were made under the direction of Sister Lucia, one of the three Fatima visionaries, and belong to the Fatima Sanctuary in Portugal. The custodian of the statue, Judith Studer, a wife, mother, and registered nurse, will speak at both locations following the Masses. Studer claims that she was cured of inoperable colon cancer and also that her granddaughter, Jessica Marfeo, was cured of neuroblastoma. Besides Studer's talks, there will also be Masses and Rosaries to Our Lady of Fatima, and Eucharistic Adoration. Items (rosaries, medals, etc.) from the Fatima Shrine will be available for purchase. For more information please visit the church websites: November 5 & 6: St. Cletus Catholic Church 3600 Claire Avenue Gretna, LA www.stcletuschurch.com or call 504-367-7951 November 7 & 8: St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 4640 Canal Street New Orleans, LA www.sapparish.org info about the visit to St. Anthony's or call 504-488-2651 Now that the funding is complete, and the movie has been made and is ready to be distributed, WHO WANTS TO SEE IT? The premier will be October 22 in Austin, TX, at the Alamo Drafthouse Village, at 7PM. Other screenings will follow on October 27 and November 2. It then becomes available for local screenings - is anyone interested? If so, please use our contact page to let us know, and if there is sufficient support, we will explore options to bring this to our area!
Please visit our "Upcoming Events" page often during the next few weeks as we post information about a LARGE NUMBER of upcoming Schoenstatt events surrounding the visit of the Auxiliary Shrine and the visitation of our Rosary Campaign National Director, Father Francisco Rojas! We invite all our Coordinators to take advantage of this visit of the Auxiliary, which is available for meetings of your groups at your request! Many, Many thanks to all of you who donated to this wonderful project - it has been funded completely and with cash to spare, which will be spent on making the movie that much better! We will soon see the result!

This comes to us from Fr. Jesus, the Texas Movement Director, via the Austin Facebook site:
"We are very excited to share some news about a beautiful Schoenstatt project. The Schoenstatt family of the United States is working on a Jubilee gift to the International Movement, just as many other countries did in 2014. Our gift is a little bit late, because it is unique. We are working on completing a feature-length documentary about the 2014 anniversary celebration in Germany and Rome to be released and presented on October 18th of this year. "This film, which we have called, "Seed of a New World" promises to be an inspirational story that follows 6 individuals from all over the world and tells the story of the Jubilee from their eyes. The film directors have already collected all the footage for the film, but still have the editing left to do (which includes, but is not limited to: color-grading, sound mixing, and music licensing). This will be a full-time job for them, particularly if they are to finish the film by October of this year. Unfortunately, in order to bring the editing to completion, they are still in need of funding. "To that end, the film's team will be launching a Kickstarter fundraising campaign on July 9th of this year, this means that from July 9th, we will have 30 days in which to reach a goal of $37,000 needed to make the film a reality. When it launches, they will have some great rewards for you on the Kickstarter page, including a digital download of the documentary itself! "Please take a minute right now to check out this page: https://www.kickstarter.com/…/8828…/seed-of-a-new-world-film where you can see the film trailer and sign up to support the fundraiser. You play a very important role in spreading the word about this film in your local Schoenstatt Family or with your friends. Would you help us? "Thank you so very much! We are so excited to share this amazing film with you and the world! United in our mission, "Fr. All Coordinators (Missionaries) are encouraged to attend! The official brochure and registration form is available for download here. You may electronically register directly through the Rosary Campaign website through this link. If you would like to travel with John+Kathy and the rest of the Louisiana delegation, OR if you have any questions or concerns, please let us know here. We'll be happy to have you (and we stop often along the way!). One hundred years ago, the print of Luigi Crosio's Refugium Peccatorum (Refuge of Sinners) entered the newly renovated little chapel at Schoenstatt for the first time. As we know, she has stayed ever since and made it her home! Please follow this link to the Rosary Campaign website for an interesting article written by Sister Isabel. |
